Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard of South Korean romance drama It’s Okay To Not Be Okay starring Kim Soo Hyun and Seo Ye Ji.
Previously, we had looked into how to recreate the soft natural makeup seen on Seo and in this article, we spotlight the stunning high heels she wore.
These shoes, which happen to come from designer labels such as Jimmy Choo and Prada, hold their weight against the resplendent outfits from Dior and Minju Kim, among many others.
In the opening scene of the first episode, we see Seo eating a delectable piece of steak in her favourite restaurant. She wears a dark grey blazer dress with high slits that accentuates her long legs that are adorned with a pair of mesh Jimmy Choo pumps.
In the show, Seo plays a famous children’s book author – but don’t brush her off just yet. Her office attire, which consists of a colourful floral printed dress with oversized bow detail from Magda Butrym and gold platform sandals from Gianvito Rossi, is nothing to scoff at.
A chic villain cannot be without a pair of towering Prada heels. Seo paired the killer red pumps with a purple vintage Dior dress and travelled all the way from Seoul to the hospital to find Kim.
If it hasn’t been evident yet, Seo’s character is obsessed with heels as she sports different iterations in each scene. This pair of V-shaped open-toe Gianvito Rossi sandals feature a pleated tulle detail that extends all the way heels and ankles, giving the legs a longer illusion.
All of the heels that Seo has worn on the show are all unique designs that not many will gravitate to, which of course shows off her unconventional style. This pair of Burberry scarf-tie sandals is one such example. Though we reckon that knotting it nicely to appear sexy is an art to master.
Shoes can instantly elevate one’s aura. And if you haven’t noticed, the director likes to show off her shoes before we see Seo appear on our small screens. It is as though the footwear sets the tone for what’s about to come. This Gianvito Rossi pair stands out with the thin gold chains that wrap around the ankle, like a necklace adorning the feet.
Yeap, Seo’s loungewear has to match a pair of high heels too. In this scene, where Seo almost fell from the staircase and had to be rescued by Kim in the nick of time, she wore a pair of Schutz mules that were easy to slip on and off.
How can a princess be without her crystal shoes? Here, Seo wore a baby pink Minju Kim creation that showed off her ant-like waist together with a pair of crystal-embellished heels from Jimmy Choo Spring/Summer 2020 collection that glistened with every step.
