After months of anticipation, Bottega Veneta has finally unveiled their long-awaited “Salon 01” collection last evening. Held in London in October, the exclusive screening of the show included the likes of Kanye West, Skepta and Stormzy.
About ‘Salon 01’

This collection is unique for a reason: here, you’ll notice an emphasis on knitted tailoring and handicraft — with fabrics that are akin to home furnishings. Transitioning from their previous collection as seen during the Fall 2020 show in Milan, you can expect cosier and softer tailored pieces within this range — bringing a sense of tailored forgiveness and individuality.

That being said, the Italian house is also serving up the idea of continuity in their new line. Find versatile pieces that can be worn season after season, done in strong contrasting colours like turquoise, red and limegreen. New silhouettes from this collection also include new dresses, two-pieces, bags, and outerwear made from a crochet knit.
Three new books

Meanwhile, aside from womenswear, the launch of ‘Salon 01’ also sees three new books to name. Book 01 is the brainchild of creative director Daniel Lee, which offers readers a glimpse into the inspiration behind the collection.

The second, was created by conceptual artist, Rosemarie Trockel. In this book, you can explore the creative processes and our relationship of clothes. Not to mention, collages and short dialogue excerpts that details different relationships to clothing.

Last but not least, the third book unveils a front and backstage look-book by fashion photographer, Tyrone Lebon.
