It’s easy to browse through streetstyle and get inspired – statement shoes, larger than life ensembles and oddly enough, the ability to wear white without getting stains. We can’t get enough of real women rocking real clothes, so what better time to snap the stylish than during fashion week?
So, we’ve partnered with Esmeralda Llaca (@esmellaca) this PFW, a Madrid-based street style photographer who has a keen eye for style and photos. She’s been happily snapping her way through the Parisian streets to ensure you at home can get all the style #inspo you need.
Our verdict on what looks should inspire you though? One part weather apropos and one part fashion-forward – you might already have some of these pieces in your wardrobe.

The classic trench will never go out of style and luckily for us, it comes in a variety of prices from high street to high end. Just make sure yours comes in a neutral colour, and if you’re a fan of the bum bag trend, wear yours as a belt for a cinched in silhouette. Wearing your trench as a dress though? Not recommended for daily wear, particularly in our tropical heat.
In the weird world of your wardrobe, you’d often be surprised to see that clashing colours that should not work together, actually do. When worn, they somehow end up looking good in an outfit. But do not go overboard with your bold block colour – make sure you keep it to three maximum – two strong colours (a top or bottom) and a neutral (shoes or bag).
We know everybody has used the phrase “a pop of colour” and we’re well aware it’s a cliche term now, but it really does work. So let us all continue splicing up an outfit with a splash of colour. After all, if it isn’t broke then don’t fix it.
Ignoring the obvious ability to get more stains, a white dress should be a staple in your closet. Why? Because they ooze femininity, effortless charm and tap into the casual ‘beautiful boho’ vibes that we’re all keen on. Since opposites attract however, try on a tough looking leather belt to mix up your white dress style.
We’re sure, like us, you usually team your sweaters with jeans or pants. Why not try taking inspiration from above and work it into a skirt combo? Adding on ankle boots for extra sass, because why not.
Science can’t explain it and neither can we but a cool hairstyle (case in point: bleached and choppy) seems to make everything look cooler – even a simple blazer and slip dress combo.
Playing safe doesn’t mean you’re boring. Layer a slubby tee or better yet, borrow your brothers’ under instead to make it look more relaxed and weather appropriate. Bad-ass shades optional.
Why does she actually look stylish? Different shades of grey (key word: not boring) + a cool ‘do + a statement bag.
For anybody who’s been into fashion (and especially street style) for a while, this phenomenon of “twin-dressing” or, in more extreme cases, #squadgoals isn’t new. But if it’s not for you, stick to something more subtle like matching bracelets or trendy eyewear instead.
