French jeweller Cartier just launched its first-ever pop-up in South-east Asia. The Clash de Cartier Studio celebrates the maison’s latest jewellery line that was introduced in April this year. Held over three days (Nov 15-17), the experiential exhibition occupies the second level of STPI and houses four immersive spaces.
Upon entering, you will be greeted by the large cafe-bistro hybrid. Here, you can unwind with your friends and indulge in canapes and beverages. A glass of champagne will be served from 5-9pm daily, and all food and drinks are complimentary.
Local DJs – Kim Wong (@kimotherapy) on Friday and Saturday and Amanda Keisha Ang (@akasounds) for Sunday – will be spinning in this area from 6-9pm.
To explore the space, you can answer an optional short quiz to decide which room to visit first – either the Book or Record store. Both rooms have their own unique features: the former has two writers who’ll create a haiku based on your personality (via a questionnaire); while the latter plays a curated soundtrack by fashion’s well-loved sound director Michel Gaubert.
Parked behind the cafe-bistro, the Touch & Try room displays the remarkable Clash de Cartier collection. As its name suggests, the room allows you to feel and wear the rose gold jewellery, while offering a sneak peek at the white gold editions (which will hit stores in April 2020).
Visitors can also marvel at the wall art designed by French artist Thomas Lelu throughout the space.
Sounds pretty impressive, doesn’t it? But that’s not all. Local and international celebs, all in their best get-ups, graced the grand opening of this exhibition space yesterday (Nov 14).
Here, we’ve rounded up a few of the best-dressed stars at the opening of Clash de Cartier Studio.
Clash de Cartier Studio is at STPI Creative Workshop and Gallery, 41 Robertson Quay, and is open to the public from now till Nov 17, 11am-9pm (last entry: 8pm). Admission is free.
