As someone who has been using hair ties for the better part of her life, a claw clip has been an absolute lifesaver. It’s very easy to use, and looks much prettier than a hair tie. I personally think it’s the epitome of effortless chic — my hair is kept out of my face, but the baby hairs that fall out frame my face a lot better than in a ponytail. Claw clip are also great on days where I feel that my hair looks flat, as it adds tons of volume when used in a certain way.
Since I started using a claw clip, my tension headaches and mildly receding hairline at the sides of my head have become a thing of the past as the clip is way more gentle on your hair and scalp.
I typically just gather my hair and clip it up, but every now and then, I see a claw clip tutorial for a complicated-looking hairstyle. I’ve attempted following several of these tutorials, only to fail miserably as my hair ends up looking like a bird’s nest.
But that’s not to say I haven’t had any successes with these hairstyles — there are some that I’ve tried and I now swear by. These are the seven tried-and-tested claw clip hairstyles that look gorgeous and are actually pretty easy to pull off, video tutorials included!
