Gucci’s monogram GG canvas is one of the Italian label’s most recognisable materials. The signature ebony and beige patterned fabric was first introduced in 1969. Since then, it’s become one of the brand’s most beloved classics. This month, Gucci is reviving a blue and beige variation of its GG canvas from the ‘70s across its leather goods and accessories collections.

You can expect the GG Blue treatment on classic handbag styles like the Jackie 1961, Gucci Horsebit 1955 and Dionysus. Details like blue leather trims, silver hardware and the blue-red-blue version of the brand’s Web stripes set this new line apart.
The blue canvas even extends to shoes, both dressy and casual like slingback pumps, loafers and sneakers. There’s also a timely range of travel-oriented pieces like roller trolleys, weekender duffles and garment bags.
Here, a look at some Gucci classics remade in GG Blue canvas.
