Have you noticed that designer collabs are still going strong for 2020, despite the pandemic? Well, that’s because fashion powerhouses know the importance of these partnerships, especially when it comes to cool streetwear labels. Case in point: the Louis Vuitton x Supreme collection, which was a mega hit three years ago. Then there’s Air Dior, the latest It collaboration between the French maison and Air Jordan.
Luxury jewellery labels are following suit as well – Bvlgari just announced its partnership with Yoon, creative director of Tokyo-based fashion label Ambush. Part of the “Serpenti Through the Eyes Of” series, which started in 2017, the collection is a winning combination of the Italian luxury label’s iconic bags and accessories with Yoon’s eclectic design ethos.
Key pieces include Bvlgari’s iconic Serpenti shoulder bag fashioned with a “smoother” snake clasp, a heart-shaped coin purse, and three-coil Serpenti bracelet – all in several neon shades (blue, purple and green), as well as black.
“To collaborate with a powerful young woman like Yoon is an incredibly inspiring experience for Bvlgari ,” says Bvlgari’s accessory managing director, Mireia Lopez Montoya. “The visionary designer has reimagined our icon of glamour Serpenti with her unbridled creative approach, achieving an entirely unexpected result.”
