Black wood strips that run down the length of the living room wall carry onto the bedroom sliding panel, giving the appearance of a large, seamless feature wall when the panel is closed.

In the bedroom, the play on lines and forms is apparent in customised box-like bookshelves that are artfully staggered on the wall so they resemble a thee-dimensional black-and-white Mondrian painting.

The master bathroom and adjoining walk-in wardrobe are kept similarly minimalist with crisp, clean, customised cabinets and sleek fixtures. The neutral, minimalist scheme cost the homeowners $60,000.
