This time of the year usually conjures visions of ice and snow, but if you aren’t hopping on a plane to a wintry destination, there’s one place to experience sub-degree temperatures in Singapore: Snow City.
What’s even better — it’s rolled out a new Ice Hotel Gallery experience that has opened on November 3rd, and which takes over what was formerly the Arctic Snow Playground. Certified ‘Singapore’s First Ice Hotel Gallery Experience’ by the Singapore Book of Records, it nods to the ice hotels in Nordic countries like Finland, Norway, and Sweden.

While you won’t get to stay a night, you can traipse through the permanent exhibition with various themed settings and intricate ice sculptures as well as furniture carved by local award-winning artisan Jeffrey Ng. Depicting scenes with animals, flora, and fauna, they’re illuminated with coloured lights for an even more enchanting display.
Just be sure to don long pants and socks if you’re thinking of making a trip — temperatures get down to a frosty -5°C. Jackets, gloves, and boots are available for rental. Tickets are priced from $17 (eligible for use with SingaporeRediscovers Vouchers), with more details below.
