Great Eastern will be launching its 15th edition of the Great Eastern Women’s Run this December. To mark the return of GEWR, the run aims to raise awareness and funds towards supporting underprivileged women in their back-to-work journeys. Happening from 14 December to 15 December, the first all women’s virtual run will consist of five different race categories, with a special 113km category to commemorate the company’s 113th anniversary in 2021.
Some of the other categories that you can choose from including the usual 5km, 10km, 21.1km distances, as well as the popular 2km category specially for mothers and daughters (aged from 5 to 12 years old) — so you can get fit and give back with your little ones. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also team up with your friends for the 113km category to complete the distance collectively or clock it individually within the time period. Pledge your support and give ex-offenders a second chance at this year’s Yellow Ribbon Virtual Run. The run happening from 1 September to 30 September, will consist of 2 categories for you to from. The first being the YR Inspire, where participants are required to complete at least 1 run/walk/hike of any distance in the shape of a Yellow Ribbon in a single activity within the run period. What’s more, you can submit as many Yellow Ribbon routes as you want.
Alternatively, you can also opt for the YR Challenge which will require you to clock in 60km in 1 giant Yellow Ribbon route or you can also accumulate the distance with up to 5 runs/walks/hikes — of which each run/walk/hike should be in the shape of a Yellow Ribbon.
For each Yellow Ribbon route you complete raises $10 for the Yellow Ribbon Fund (with a maximum of $50 for each participant). Doing so will help contribute to the Yellow Ribbon’s target of raising our target of raising $100,000 to support reintegration efforts for ex-offenders and their families.
Of course, when you register, you will also receive a complimentary running kit which will consist of a Yellow Ribbon Puma T-shirt, Sports Pouch, Eco Bag, and a Crochet Medal that’s handmade by inmates.

With the rise of youths needing mental health therapy, The Limitless Run 2021 will be focused on increasing its funds to meet the growing need for subsidised or pro bono counselling, therapy, and casework.
As part of its programme, participants will also get to access a week of masterclasses conducted by mental health professionals to learn more about the different aspects of mental, how to help a friend in need and understanding more about trauma.
Upon registration, participants will also receive a race pack that will include a race tee, a drawstring bag and a finisher medal.

Trail seekers, this one’s for you. Take a trip down memory lane and get your fitness game on while you’re at it at the iconic Tanjong Pagar Railway Station. Before its closure in January 2016, the Rail Corridor Run saw some 8,000 runners raring to pounce on the wet and muddy trail for the last time before some parts along the stretch were closed for construction works. This year, the Rail Corridor Trail Run 2021 is launched to rekindle the thrills of running through the tract of lush greenery. While you may not be able to run along the whole 26km stretch, you can still clock in some distance while running or walking down the route.
Here, you can run start your 5KM trail runs, or even take a walk while embracing the lush greenery that surrounds you. For those who want to play it safe, you can even clock in your miles somewhere near home too.
