As we leave behind a tumultuous year and look towards new beginnings, we’re also just as excited to check out all the new events that we can expect in the coming weeks. This weekend, we’re seeing the return of the annual Singapore Art Week where you can expect over 130 exhibitions across the island by 700 artists. And as part of its lineup, the Light to Night Festival will also be making a comeback to the Civic District from 6 to 26 January 2023.

With that being said, for more ideas on how you should spend your time this weekend, keep on scrolling.

National Gallery Singapore’s Light to Night festival is making its return to the Civic District from 6 – 26 January 2023. As part of the event, you can expect a wide variety of art-meets-lifestyle activities, artworks by artists from around the world, as well as new immersive day-to-night installations.

This year, the theme, “Here and Now” calls for reflection on one’s time and the environment – an appropriate invitation to mark the new year – and draws attention to art as a platform to document and respond to one’s lived experiences.

During the festival period, visitors of National Gallery Singapore can enjoy complimentary entry on Fridays to Sundays, of which the gallery will also extend its opening hours to 11pm on the same days.

Visit the website here for a full list of exhibitions and artworks to check out at the Light to Night Festival.
