Travel is back with a vengeance and judging from the slew of newly-opened luxury hotels and upcoming ones, things are looking rosy for Singapore’s tourism industry. After 2.5 years of travel restrictions, the local hotel sector has received a much-needed shake-up, with new hospitality groups making inroads here and existing ones adding to their property count. We get you up to speed on the newest luxury hotels to add to your staycation list.
Located right beside Funan, the new Pullman Singapore Hill Street is slated to be one of the most popular hotels for the modern city dweller. Expect 350 rooms and suites modelled after private railroad cabins, of which each room is furnished with plush bedding, an open-concept
wardrobe, dedicated workspaces, and a modular armchair that extends into a single bed. What's great about the rooms is that it's also fitted with smart technologies that include in-room sensors that activate air conditioning, draw curtains wide and switch on the smart TV upon entry. To maximise the space, the Deluxe rooms also feature a Murphy Bed that can be retracted for more space.
Guests who are looking to stay on top of their workout regime will be pleased with the Power Fitness gym in the hotel. Aside from the machines, gym goers will have the option of personal training and physiotherapy with experts from Strength Clinic Academy. Alternatively, for those who are looking for something more chill, Pullman also boasts its very own rooftop bar (and pool) called El Chido, as well as its newly opened cocktail bar and izakaya concept on the ground floor called MOGA, where you'll find Japanese inspired cocktails, spirits, skewers and sushi.

Many hotels have set out to be the crowning glory of Singapore’s Garden City, but Pan Pacific Orchard, Singapore has real claims to the title. Set to open its doors in June, the latest property from the Pan Pacific Hotels Group will be lush with foliage — 7,300 sq m of greenery across 23 floors.
With WOHA Architects at the helm, the property gives design mavens plenty to talk about. If there was ever a modern-day Hanging Gardens of Babylon, this would be it. Four cavernous open-air terraces, each boasting a sprawling Eden, harbour little luxuries ranging from private cabanas to an outdoor pool with a view. Guests checking into the property will see a 120-m-tall green column spanning the first three floors, which is also where the hotel’s restaurants will be located.
While the ballroom on the 18th floor is arguably the property’s best vantage point, each of the 347 guest rooms and suites will include views of terrace greenery or the city. Whatever the vista, this verdant tower is no doubt a respite from Orchard Road’s landscape of glass and steel.

Raffles Hotel Singapore was once a seaside hotel before land reclamation nudged Singapore’s shoreline outwards. With the opening of Raffles Sentosa Resort & Spa in the second half of 2023, the grande dame will once again embrace its roots of yore. Located in Sentosa, the second Raffles property in Singapore swaps colonial-era architecture for 62 contemporary villas, each with a private swimming pool and terrace for greater privacy. Occupying 100,000 sqm of tropical gardens with views of South China Sea, it will also include a bar, restaurants, event spaces, and the sumptuous Raffles Spa. Amid these changes, one thing remains — the legendary Raffles butler service.

As part of its foray into South-east Asia, the Hollywood-born Mondrian will roll out its red carpet in Singapore by this June. Those who have visited the Los Angeles hotel might recall the mushroom-inspired concierge desk and surrealist aesthetic of the guest rooms. The same eclectic energy will inform the brand’s Duxton Hill branch when it opens this year. The design will also pay tribute to the neighbourhood’s conservation shophouses and traditional architecture. Besides offering plush rooms, a rooftop pool, and an Italian restaurant headlined by Italian butcher Dario Cecchini, the hotel will also showcase a contemporary collection of artworks from local and international artists.
