Prepare his favourite meal – or just order it online if you’re not domestically-inclined – and serve it with a bottle of wine, with the lights dimmed and some candles to set the mood. It will especially surprise him if you’ve never done this before or you’re generally not one for romantic scenes.
Make plans to go somewhere then casually mention you have to pick up something from a friend at a hotel or you’re meeting friends at a hotel bar for a drink.
When you get to the hotel lobby, pull out a room key and tell him your plans for the night (or a dirty weekend). Make sure you check-in in advance though, you don’t want to ruin the spontaneous moment by having to deal with hotel receptionists, do you? It’s way more fun if you already have the room key and can just proceed to the main event.
Go for a sexy video if you want to show him your sultry side, perhaps perform a sexy dance or just tease him with your sexiest outfit (or body part). If you prefer something more fun, record a video of yourself singing along to your favourite tune or even one of you telling him a joke.
A video is more fun than a photo and it gives you more scope too. It’ll show him you’re thinking of him when he’s not with you and will also give you a chance to show your creative side.
Tell him to pick you up from your place then surprise him with a picnic basket full of goodies. Go to a park and lay out your picnic mat and spend a few lazy hours nibbling on food (and perhaps each other too) and enjoying each other’s company.
It doesn’t matter where you go, you could even do this at your void deck (just be prepared for the many stares) or have a cosy picnic indoors on a rainy day.
Write short messages on post-it notes and stick them in places he’ll find them throughout the day.
If you live together, scatter them all over the house so he’ll come across them easily – on the fridge, on the bathroom mirror, on his phone charger, to name a few. Or slip them into his trousers pocket, his laptop case, or his wallet. This won’t just surprise him, it’ll also make him smile and think of you.
Surprise him with a nice packed lunch and personally deliver it to him. Make sure you know what his workplace is like though, as you don’t want to barge in on him if his office has a very strict ‘no visitors’ policy. And know his schedule beforehand so you’re not interrupting him on a very busy day.
If he has his own office, close the door, put the blinds down and enjoy a lunchtime quickie too, if you’re both up for it.
