Mahjong and luxury goods…they’re an unusual pairing. But iconic French fashion house Hermès has decided to go against the grain.
Enter the latest thing to add on to your wishlist: a Hermès Mahjong Set. It’s currently listed on Hermès Singapore’s website for a whopping $57,200.
The Helios Mahjong Set is made with solid palissander wood and printed Swift calfskin, and the tiles are in printed full leather, which supposedly make tile-shuffling a lot quieter. Here’s what Hermès said in its description: “The printed full leather tiles knock gently against each other, while the little sticks keep track of the score with a delicate rustling sound.”

The resin tiles in this mahjong set from Prada is wrapped in Saffiano leather, and retails for around $5,350, according to the price listed on Prada’s China website.
