Gone are the days where you head to a cafe for a good ol’ cuppa. This time, cafes and restaurants in Singapore are reinventing themselves to welcome a new crowd. Whatever the time is, you can easily get your fix of caffeine or booze thanks to the rise of all these new all-day cafe-bars.
We wouldn’t say that it’s relatively very new, but we’re starting to see more places popping up with similar concepts. Take, for instance, places like Naga House and Elixir Coffee And Wine.
Considering the rising cost of rental in Singapore, owners find it more profitable to have their restaurants open all day as compared to having it open for a few hours. Unlike traditional cafes or bars that have specific opening hours, it offers the convenience of a place where people can gather, socialise, work, or relax at any time of the day. What’s more, these places typically offer a diverse menu, with some serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and late-night bites throughout the day – providing customers with a range of food options to choose from.
So if you’re on the hunt for some cafes to check out for your next lunch meeting with your colleagues, or a bar to have a few drinks after a long day of work, we’ve got you covered. Ahead, we’ve rounded up some of the trendiest all-day cafe-bars that are worth visiting in Singapore.
Coffee and brunch cafe by day, pizza and wine bar by night, Bukit Timah’s famed Elixir Boutique Roasters takes on a new home at Holland Grove, a residential area within ‘Parksuites’ that’s just off Holland Road. From 12pm till late, look forward to hearty dishes that marry Italy and Asia’s culinary traditions.
Some notable bites include the Baby Octopus, the Burrata that’s dressed with house-made chilli crunch, Not-carbonara, Elixir’s signature pizza bianco inspired by pasta carbonara, Pistachio Cake that’s served with a dollop of crème fraiche and extra virgin olive oil.
Our favourite from the lot would be the Hot Mama, a spicy and savoury pizza loaded with slices of Calabrese salami, onions and fennel, is completed with house-made chilli crunch that packs a punch and is perfect for those who love something spicy.
Elixir Coffee And Wine is located at 24 Holland Grove Rd, #01-18, Singapore 278803
If you haven’t been to Naga House, then it’s about time you should. Café by day and bar by night, Naga House first started off in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic as a cold-brew coffee business. Later, it then expanded to a full cafe-bar concept incorporating three of our favourite things – food, music and fashion.
Always humming with a convivial atmosphere, Naga House has quickly become a hot spot for millennials and Gen Zs alike — it even has a loyal following of its own.
Boasting Japanese-inspired dishes with an Asian twist, some of the dishes that you can look forward to include the Naga Pasta made with Shio Kombu, Onsen Egg, Shiitake, Dried Hehbi, and Chilli Sesame Oil Blend; Triple Tamago Sando that’s stuffed with Marinated Ramen Egg, Roasted Egg Garlic Egg Mayo, Fried Sunnyside-up, and Dijon Mayo; and their all-new Salmon Aburi Rice Bowl topped with Glazed Pork Belly and Pesto Cream with plenty of shredded cheese. Of course, this place is teeming with groups of people at night. It serves affordable tipples including beers and cocktails, which make for the perfect place for those who are looking to pregame.

Cafe Kitsune may have opened its doors late last year but the world-famous French cafe is already taking things up a notch with the launch of its new range of natural wines and all-new evening menu offering. Besides the brand’s signature specialty coffee, you can look forward to its tightly curated Super-Naturel wine selection from La Galoche (Beaujolais, France), Cape Rock (Vredendal, South Africa), Romuald Valot (Burgundy, France), and Pasaeli Kabugunda from Thrace, Turkey. Of course, we also recommend pairing your glass of vino with savoury treats from its new menu such as the croque monsieur, burrata with housemade pesto and sundried tomatoes, classic hummus salad on sourdough, and a cheese-trio platter.

If you’re on the hunt for a new hideout in the CBD area for your happy hour escapades, peep Common Man Coffee Roasters Stan. Located along Stanley Street, the cafe is known for its sublime coffee. But when the sun sets, the cafe then transforms into a bar of its own, serving an extensive selection of natural wines that go hand in hand with their delectable dishes. One of our favourites from the menu include the Umami Magic Sourdough Pizza, that’s topped with chilli crisps, a range of cheese like ricotta, mozzarella and parmesan, and is generously sprinkled with oyster and shimeji mushrooms.
As for the wines, choose from Sparkling to Rose and Orange wines, or if you’re spoilt for choice, we recommend going for the Common Man Wine Flight, which is reasonably priced at $50.

The art of coffee and the craft of cocktails intertwine at Equate. Conveniently located on the ground level of Orchard Central, this cafe has generated quite the buzz on social media for its aesthetically pleasing decor. But that’s not the only thing Equate is known for. In fact, the cafe recently launched its new evening menu of food and cocktails in May, of which you’ll find modern Asian dishes like the Cold Laksa Capellini, XO Radish Cake and Bawang Goreng Fries. For a nightcap, try Equate’s Natsu Heat, that’s made with peach-infused sencha tea and a shot of whisky, or go for the Elderflower Collins, if you’re someone who loves a classic G&T, but with a twist.
