Fans of Sanrio will delight in Lady M’s newest collaboration with the brand. The Lady M x My Melody Lunar New Year Gift Set ($120) is perfect to ring in the Year of the Rabbit with an adorably auspicious keepsake box with illustrations of the iconic rabbit character.
Each of the six pull-out drawers are filled with seasonal-exclusive Bon Bons, which include flavours like Golden Tangerine Pearls, tangerine jelly bites dipped in a mandarin orange glaze, and Prosperous Plum Blossoms, plum jelly bites dipped in a vibrant glaze coating. The bottom drawer features limited-edition Red Confetti Envelopes designed with confetti for some glittery fun.
As with all festive seasons, Lady M has introduced a Cake of the Month for the Lunar New Year, available from now to 28 February 2023. The Pineapple Mille Crêpes ($140 – whole , $16 – slice (ION Champagne Bar), $13 – slice (boutiques)) is made from paper-thin layers of crepes alternated with a pineapple pastry crème made from French whipped cream, and folded with bits of fresh pineapples that add a refreshing crunch to each bite. The cake is topped with a golden pineapple glaze, a whipped cream ring and glistening white wine gelée.
The Pineapple Mille Crêpes will be available in whole (online) or by the slice (boutiques only) across all Lady M boutiques in Singapore.

Pineapple tarts are perhaps the most popular and beloved CNY goodies that every household must absolutely have. However, if you’re looking to try something new this year, then look no further than Ree and Mummy’s delicious Mini Ong Lai Tart Pineapple Cheesecake. Available from now till 5 February, the beloved homegrown dessert cafe will be offering its limited-edition CNY Prosperity Box which contains eight golden pieces of its latest creation. Baked to golden perfection, the pineapple cheesecake features a buttery tart base, creamy cheesecake, and sweet-sticky pineapple filling.

Originating from Johor, this Malaysian family bakery has amassed a following in Singapore with its line-up of moreish and addictive Chinese New Year goodies, all handmade in Muar, Malaysia. Janice Wong, who has trained under some of the world’s best chefs, has rolled out some interesting treats for the Year of the Rabbit, such as the Chinese New Year special edition Bon Bons Box of 9 ($33.15+), Chocolate Coated Pineapple Tarts ($31.45), CNY Love Letters & Hazelnut Dip ($38.25), and the stunning Chocolate Koi ($49.30 for a box of three), which are beautiful chocolate praline crunchy wafers and candied oranges stuffed with popping candy shaped in the form of koi fish and painted with Wong’s signature paint swirls.

Let Mdm Ling Bakery take your tastebuds on a journey with a variety of sweet and savoury flavours with its Blooming Spring Collections. New for this year are the aromatic Hojicha Butter Cookies ($18.10), as well as Nyonya coconut cookies and Seaweed Chicken Floss Love Letters The dense and buttery Layers To Success kueh lapis ($69.80 for a box of four) are new too, with four scrumptious local-inspired flavours – original, pandan, chocolate and hawthorn.

Home-grown brand Old Seng Choong, helmed by renowned local pastry chef Daniel Tay, is well-loved for its quality and quirky Asian-inspired bakes. Executive chef and co-founder Wythe Ng has churned out 12 cookie flavours, including unique flavours like Bobochacha Cookies ($24.80), Grade A Uji Matcha German Cookies ($24.80), the Korean-inspired Kim Cheese Cookies ($26.80), and Osmanthus Pineapple Ball ($28.80).

The Radish Cake with Conpoy and Preserved Meat ($68) and Yam Cake with Pumpkin, Dried Shrimps and Preserved Meat ($68) are truly oldies but goodies. We are glad that these two savoury cakes have stayed on Li Bai’s CNY menu over the years, because they are exactly what traditional Chinese palettes would crave. Perfect as breakfast or a hearty snack anytime of the day.
