Classic Fine Foods (CFF), a purveyor, distributor and specialist of fine foods, has launched “Classic Deli” (www.classicdeli.market/sg) an online grocery store.
This digital specialty grocer offers a wide range of restaurant-quality products such as beef, lamb, poultry, fresh fruits and vegetables, caviar, foie gras, olive oil, cured meats, truffle-based condiments, snacks, seafood and more.
These high-quality ingredients, sourced from some of the best producers around the world (think Australia, Spain, Italy and France) and previously only available to top chefs in Singapore, have now been made available to everyday consumers like you and I.
The launch of “Classic Deli” marks Classic Fine Foods’ first foray into the business-to-consumer market. Since its establishment in 2000, they mainly focused on supplying fresh, frozen, quality produce and gourmet products to other businesses, such as restaurants, hotels, artisans, caterers, retailers, as well as the most prestigious department stores and gourmet food outlets across Singapore.
We have been receiving a surge in requests from end-consumers for fresh produce and other food products to be delivered to their homes.Karen Tay, General Manager of Classic Fine Foods Singapore
However, this online specialty food store is a service in response to rising demand for fresh produce from end-consumers.
Shares Karen Tay, the General Manager of Classic Fine Foods Singapore: “Since the start of this year, following the implementation of tighter social distancing measures, we have been receiving a surge in requests from end-consumers for fresh produce and other food products to be delivered to their homes. This prompted us to launch a platform to retail our products, especially the fresh items. With that, we are thrilled to present “Classic Deli” to everyone, particularly discerning foodies and enthusiastic cooks who appreciate restaurant-quality produce and products,”
On the menu: products such as Caviar, Truffles, Smoked Salmon, Premium Meat, Charcuterie, Artisan Cheese, Ultra-Fresh Seafood and Vegetables, Condiments, Haut Chocolates, Pastry Decoration, Part-Baked Bread and more.
Shoppers can also purchase the award-winning, plant-based Impossible Burger ($88.90 for 2.27kg) by Impossible Foods. This is the first time consumers will be able to get their hands on the product via a consumer platform, as part of Impossible Foods’ effort to support Singapore’s F&B industry as it adapts to the impact of COVID-19.
Made for meat lovers, Impossible Burger tastes, smells, and cooks like ground meat from a cow, but is made entirely from plants. It can be used in different recipes such as burgers, meatballs, tacos, sliders and Vietnamese rice paper rolls.
For those who aren’t domestic goddesses (like myself) and prefer a fuss-free meal requiring minimal to zero preparation, there’s also a wide selection of ready-to-eat food products, such as cold cuts, soft and hard cheeses, jams, chips, frozen green olive bread, and more.
For an easy pick-me-up snack: simply toast the bread and serve it with some Jamon Iberico Bellota ($14.80 for 50g), Camembert ($9.50 for 250g) or Emmental ($9.50 for 250g) cheese and pitted olives, and voila, you’re a chef… ish!
The best part? Expect a super quick delivery – simply place your order before 4.30pm and your items will be delivered the next day (except Sunday).
Shoppers can even enjoy 10% off their first order, using the code 10DELI, and enjoy free island-wide delivery when they spend above $150.
