Natural wine continues to be trending and in-demand here, with more and more wine bars focusing on biodynamic varieties farmed organically.
Back in 2017, the natural wine scene was just taking root in Singapore with pioneers such as RVLT, regarded as one of the first few local bars to specialise in minimal-intervention wines. In mid-2018, Le Bon Funk joined the party as another major player. Located at Club Street, the wine bar and kitchen feature an extensive natural wine list showcasing unique terroirs and smaller producers.
Travelling wine bar Drunken Farmer now boasts two full-fledged, brick-and-mortar outposts – one at Joo Chiat (above) and the other at Stanley St.
Newer players include Drunken Farmer which started out as a nomadic natural wine consultancy – the brand set up permanent roots this year, as a natural wine bar and bistro at both its Stanley Street and Joo. Meanwhile, e-store That Wine is Mine features themed wine boxes meticulously selected to ensure quality.
