Mum’s the best! Which celeb gets the sweetest Mother’s Day gift?

Queen of local television, Zoe Tay is known for keeping her family life private so it’s no surprise we don’t see any faces of her hubby or children on her Instagram.

Instead, Tay posted a photo of a rice dumpling made by her mum. With the Dragon Boat Festival fast approaching, Tay’s mum has prepared delicious dumplings for her family, a tradition the family has stuck with since Tay was young.

The best gift that any mum can get? A heartfelt present from her kid(s) of course. Jacelyn Tay’s sweet little son, Zavier Wong gifted her a handmade card and he even drew a portrait of Tay.

Judging from his skillful strokes, we think it’s pretty clear that he’s a creative in the making.

Kids may look most adorable when they’re smiling but for Sonia Sui’s son, Max Chia looks equally cute when he bursts into tears. Turns out, he isn’t naughty or purnished by his mummy.

Sui apologies to her son in her Instagram caption, saying she insisted on taking a photo while Chia wanted to climb the stairs. Oh well, it’s Mother’s Day so Chia can’t fault her, right?

There’s lots to celebrate for local actress, Joanne Peh recently. Last month, the newly minted All Time Favourite Artiste gave birth to her son and celebrated her 34th birthday.

Fans of Taiwanese television talk show Kangxi Coming will have heard of Xu Mama at some point. That’s because her daughter and programme host Dee Hsu loves imitating and poking fun of her.

News presenter and host, Diana Ser may have been waiting for her son, Jake Lye’s handmade card for some time.

“I thought I had to transform myself into a fidget cube to get his attention,” Ser wrote. “But finally, a handicraft from the son.”

It may look simple on the outside but a small bulb — powered by copper wire and battery — illuminates the heart shape from the inside when it’s switched on. How sweet and heartwarming indeed.
