At the event, the solo artist who is in town for his Christmas In The Skies party and Magic Man World Tour, took some time to answer burning questions from the floor. Here are some insights we gleaned from the question-and-answer session.
Responding to a question on his go-to fragrance posed by TikTok creator Zehvier, Jackson revealed that his scent of choice is none other than Giorgio Armani’s The Yulong.
Following a question on his favourite local food, Jackson spoke about wanting to visit a pasar malam (night market), so you might just catch the “LMLY” singer at one.
ICYDK the Hong Kong-born and raised entertainer speaks five languages: Cantonese, Mandarin, Shanghainese, English and Korean. Now, it seems Jackson is adding Singlish to the roster. At the event, he impressed fans with his understanding of our phrases and terminology such as “cannot lah”.
Jackson also shared that because he previously said he loves eating durians, “every single person” he meets ends up offering him the pungent delicacy. Commenting on the thorny problem (pun fully intended), Jackson added that “it doesn’t mean that I have to eat it every five minutes, you know.” He assured fans that he “loves durian” but he’ll “get it himself” if he is in the mood for it.
Another influencer attendee Kelly Tan even shot her shot by asking Jackson if he “likes Singaporean girls” and whether he would invite her and her friends to his Marquee bash. A bewildered Jackson replied saying: “Well, yeah…But I haven’t had a lot of chances to meet any yet.”
The Magic Man also doled out some valuable life advice. Speaking on how we can “find our own magic,” Jackson stressed the importance of following our hearts. “For me, I would rather pick something that I love to do and make a living out of that and take a risk (because) we never know what will happen tomorrow,” he said.
When asked what he does to de-stress, the K-pop idol candidly admitted that he is “stressed every single day” and is “still in the process of dealing with it.”
Jackson Wang’s “Christmas in the Skies” party at Marina Bay Sands is happening on 24 December at 10PM.
