From Record of Youth to Itaewon Class, there have been many Korean dramas lately that deal with what youth go through in society. Joining that hot genre is a new Korean drama that will be streaming on Netflix, Start-up. Starring Bae Suzy as Seo Dal-mi, Nam Joo-hyuk as Nam Do-san, Kim Seon-ho as Han Ji-pyeong and Kang Han-na as Won In-jae, the drama follows the story of four characters in a start-up industry who overcome challenges in career and love.
Directed by Oh Choong-hwan (Hotel del Luna, While You Were Sleeping) and written by Park Hye-ryun (Dream High, While You Were Sleeping), the drama is highly anticipated because of its star-studded names. Director Oh said during a press conference today. “The whole thought process for the drama series started about two years ago. We wanted to do a story about starting a business, about youth who take on a challenge of starting up a business. That story really stuck with me.”
