2019 has been a great year for October cover girl Jasmine Sokko – the pop star became the first Singaporean to clinch the the Best Southeast Asia Act award at the 2019 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA). And she also released her first ever mandarin single, Shh.
Starting the New Year with a bang, the singer-producer dominated the stage with strong dance moves while performing one of her top singles, Hurt, at the Mediacorp countdown show (Let’s Celebrate 2020).
When we spoke to Narelle Kheng during her November cover shoot, she shared that making music is a kind of self-therapy. And it seems like the reserved singer is ready to take 2020 by the reigns, starting with a trip to Bali.
She also left a light-hearted message on her latest IG post: “Last day of 2019, and even though I’m pretty damn sure I have a lot to say, post, recap and reflect. To be honest, right now, I just wanna drink, party and play. So here’s a happy shot of me in Bali because I’m going back on Thursday and I’ll do my nama-thinking there.”
It’s no surprise local model-actress Kate Pang’s 2020 resolution includes having more family time. Pang and her husband, Andie Chen, relaunched their Youtube channel (Kandie Network) in 2016 to feature videos on parenting and pregnancy tips.
And even if you’re not an expecting mother, the star’s positivity is something we all need to add to our 2020 list.
The last few years have been a whirlwind for the supermodel. In just 2019 alone, Hadid bounced back from several things, like being accused of racism and a tumultuous relationship with her ex, Abel Tesfaye (aka The Weekend).
Well it seems like she’s put it all behind her. The model rang in 2020 with an island getaway and sported her signature flat abs. She also posted an IG video of her making pastries in St-Barths, France, giving us major vacation-envy.
We love Jennifer Lopez for her dance music, #bodygoals and most importantly, her parenting moments.
“I love what I do. I love my kids and they come first, and everything else falls into place after that. I take it one day at a time, trying to do the best I can.” – Jennifer Lopez, in an interview with HuffPost
The spunky star and her twins celebrated the New Year at a glamorous ball with the rest of her family.
The British-born Albanian singer had every right to slip on a sparkly dress and celebrate the New Year. The star’s music career got a quick boost when she released her 2018 chart-topping single, New Rules.
Following that, 2019 saw her partake in several collaborations (including one with K-pop band Black Pink) that pushed her into the international limelight.
The singer released another hit single, Don’t Start Now, in November and hit the #30 spot on the Billboard chart.
Even before Hailey Bieber wowed us with her intricate wedding veil (it literally had the words “Till Death Do Us Part” sewn into it), we had already known she was in love with Canadian pop star Justin Bieber.
And it seems like romance is high on the list for the model this 2020. On New Year’s Day, the blonde bombshell posted a picture on IG of her embracing her beau. And she captioned it: “Please be my New Year’s kiss even when I’m 80!”
