Possibly the most significant event in the Chinese calendar, the Chinese New Year (CNY) is an occasion many look forward to. It is a time for just to reflect on the year that had passed while reuniting with loved ones.
Moreover, it is an event where we get to feast on yummy delights while dressing to the nines. For celebrities, the Lunar New Year celebrations were no different.

2020’s CNY was extra special for Fann Wong. Not only was Wong having a holiday in Italy with her hubby Christopher Lee and son Zed Lee, but January 27 was also Wong’s birthday when she turned 49. Her loved ones were also there to celebrate the joyous double celebrations over good food and wine.

We guess it is no secret that Benjamin Kheng loves flowers? He wore a vintage-looking top with women’s buttons and shoulder pads that supposedly garnered the approval of his grandma. The Khengs later posed for a photo with beautiful orchids (also check out other popular auspicious plants for good luck) that their grandmother had purchased, signalling an auspicious start to the year.
The affable host was spotted in a snap with her husband on day 1 of CNY.
She also posted a CNY greeting on the ‘gram wishing everyone a happy new year and good health in Mandarin, Hokkien and Cantonese. Seah had added that her father spoke Hokkien while her mother-in-law spoke Cantonese and that she has decided to embrace and celebrate a side of her that she rarely shows.
Chinese New Year is an occasion where family members who are scattered across the globe return home to have a reunion and celebrate. This was no different for local songbird JJ Lin, who uploaded a photo of his large family, adding that he hadn’t seen his family for two years and how “everyone’s grown up now”.
