Celebrities who just had their March birthday celebrations
Another year older, another year wiser
March was a busy time for celebrity birthdays. Local singer JJ Lin, veteran actress Cynthia Koh and Taiwanese singer-actress Vivian Hsu were just a few who celebrated major milestones in the past month. If you didn’t know these celebs were born in the March – now you know.

It’s safe to say Singapore based actress Kate Pang had a splashing good time at her birthday party.
The actress who recently left show business to focus on her YouTube channel with her husband and fellow entertainer, Andie Chen, marked her 35th birthday with a celebration at the Big Splash. She posted a series of snapshots from her party to the gram and thanked her friends and family for “fulfilling her childhood dream.”
Veteran actress Cynthia Koh celebrated her 44th birthday with an intimate dinner with her friends who include fellow celebrity Michelle Chong on Mar 19, 2018.
The celebrity besties, recently joined forces to set up Mischief, a restaurant that serves up Western street food along with alcoholic beverages. She posted this picture to her Instagram with the caption, “a big thank you to @michellechong (Michelle Chong) @yznnzy and @oj.ngo for the advance birthday dinner, cakes and flowers. And Happy Birthday to @mgoh_maureen too. Thank you girls for making each year a memorable one.”
The local singer had a pretty sweet week surrounding his 37th birthday. In addition to a mini soirees with his friends and co-workers (which explains the pretty cake pictures on his Instagram feed), he also concluded the Chengdu and Shanghai leg of his new concert tour, Sanctuary.
The tour is names after his new song of the same name from his latest album, “Message in a Bottle” and will visit at least 16 stops, including one in Singapore.
This Taiwanese singer’s agelessness has taken on legendary status. She barely seems to have aged a day since she rose to stardom after winning first place in a “Talented Beautiful Girl” contest held by broadcasting station, China Television Company (CTV). If anything, Vivian seems younger now at 43. Instead of sharing about her special day on social media, she took to the gram to post a photo of her and her husband Singaporean businessman Sean Lee. In the photo set against the city skyline of Bangkok Thailand, the singer can be seen leaning against her husband and smiling blissfully. She wrote, “43 years have gone by in the blink of an eye and I’m thankful to my parents for giving me life.”
The singer then left a tribute message for her late father and added, “I usually receive phone calls from you on this day, but you will not be able to call me now. I know that you are doing well in heaven.” Vivian’s father passed away earlier this year after he could not overcome a viral infection.
South Korean singers Park Bom and CL who were members of the now-defunct girl group 2NE1 have been pals for years. It’s nice to see that the pair are still close after all this time. CL posted this cheeky snap of Park Bom and wished the latter a Happy Birthday with this caption, “I am late but Happy Birthday Sister.”
While we are positive that the former member of South Korean girl group f(x) has received years of birthday dedication billboards in subway stations all across Seoul since she made her debut in 2009, she clearly has not taken them for granted. The singer who turned 24 on Mar 29, 2018 posted this Instagram post of the sign she spotted accompanied with a caption expressing her gratitude.
Members of the South Korean girl group Red Velvet surprised the group’s main rapper, Irene, with a cake for her 27th birthday. It has been a busy month for the girl group that recently touched down in Pyongyang, North Korea, among a large group of delegates poised to perform in the country.
