There is something trending hard on social right now – even Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong (PM Lee) is onto this craze.
It’s called the #10yearchallenge and it involves posting a comparison of a photo of you 10 years ago and a photo of yourself in 2019 side by side.
A quick search on Instagram and we found 10 posts tagged to this hashtag.
Some have taken the #10yearchallenge to reflect on how much they have changed in the past decade (all for the better, hopefully!) and to take stock of where they are right now in life.
PM Lee wrote in an Instagram post: “I kid myself that not much has changed after 10 years, other than my hair colour and hair line! My hair is greyer and thinner, but I’m still enjoying what I do.”
Who else, like PM Lee, has jumped on the #10yearchallenge bandwagon? Let’s find out.

Local actress-host Michelle Chia was one of the many famous faces who joined the challenge, and it was seriously impossible to spot any signs of ageing in her “after” photo.
“Jumping on the bandwagon #10yearchallenge 10 years ago, 10 years later, which is which?,” she captioned the photo. Fellow entertainer Ben Yeo pitched in and commented: “You using yesterday photo is it?”

One decade just wasn’t enough for the funny lady.
The local comedian-actress posted this snapshot to the ‘gram and said: “Couldn’t find any photos from 2009 but my friend sent me this movie still (shot on film in 1999) from the movie #EatingAir. So Boh Bian instead of 10 year got to do 20 year challen. In 1999, I played a photocopy auntie called “Porsche Zeh Zeh” even though I was only 20. Now I play an Ah Lian who thinks she is 20. Eh but why the 2 guys next to me in 2019 so hot one? @leeteng0530@theroycelee @leftprofile #PremiumLian does #20YearChallenge.”

The former beauty queen and actress took the time to appreciate the journey she’s been on in the past 10 years.
She also stressed the fact that she is #olderandwiser and that she has: “clearly grown up some these 10years and am not as bright eyed as in my youth. I’m also rather resigned to life and content to stay still instead of running off all the time. That’s what age does to you. Unless you’re my mommy, then you’ll be running around more (she runs around in these closed rooms chasing a ball, talk about childish). Time. Waits for no cat.”

From releasing her indie EP entitled “KEEP!” in 2009 to marry the love of her life Alfred Sim in 2015, the past 10 years for the local singer who has six albums under her belt has been nothing but a roller coaster ride to remember.

“This challenge is very easy to me. I’ve once made a side-by-side montage that went beyond a decade. I miss all the collagen in my skin in 2009. P.s. Ten years ago, my brows were extremely thin and over plucked #tenyearschallenge,” the Taiwanese media darling hilariously wrote about her transformation.

The Hong Kong-born Canadian actress and former Miss Hong Kong contestant posted a side by side comparison of herself which you’d struggle to tell apart – other than the difference in hairstyle, she looks pretty much the same.
She posted this snap to the ‘gram and wrote: “In 2009, filming for ‘A Fistful of Stances” wrapped and I returned to Canada to further my studies. ‘Beyond the Realm of Conscience’ started airing around this time. Ten years later, I find myself working with producer Mui Sui-Ching for ‘Forensic Heroes 4’. Often in life we go the full circle.”
