In the midst of the joyous celebrations, we also had a health scare as local actors Kate Pang and Andie Chen’s son, Aden, was revealed to have been rushed off to the A&E due to a middle ear infection on the eve of the Lunar New Year.
Along with this picture, celeb mum Kate Pang thanked the medical staff who attended to Aden and wished her son good health in her Instagram post. Thankfully, Aden has since been discharged from the hospital and is recuperating at home.
The local actress is all about maintaining traditions. According to the actress, she never fails to head down to the Chinatown festive market during the Lunar New Year season to soak up the festivities.
This year was no exception as the “118” actress visited Chinatown with her friends on Chinese New Year Eve. We wonder if any lucky eagle-eyed fans spotted her there.
In spite of her busy schedule, the sweet-faced actress made sure to spend some quality time with her family. Along with this snap, she wrote, “This year, my family had a pre reunion dinner cause of our individual work commitments. As some of you may know, I’m not gifted in cooking so I’m always assigned to get ingredients, set the table, and do taste tests while the rest of my family cooks.
I made sure to get everyone’s favourite foods, lots of vegetables, and specially picked out these #madeinsingapore#bobomoment yummies that brought back many childhood memories. Good times (I air fried some to snack on while they were working hard in the kitchen Healthier and no cooking required too!).”
And of course, it wouldn’t be Rebecca if she wasn’t sharing the love and happiness with her followers. She added, “May all of you have the best and most blessed time with your loved ones this #cny2018.” Curious to see who Rebecca spent V-day with? Read this article to find out.

This year, actress Joanne Peh and her husband and fellow actor Qi Yuwu spent both Valentine’s Day and Chinese New in the Chinese city of Guangzhou.
