The 15th day of the eight lunar month is an important one for the Chinese community who celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival, for both celebs and mere mortals alike. Our favourite stars took to the gram to show us all the ways they celebrated their time off – from eating mooncakes (natch) to lighting lanterns and appreciating the full moon. These days, former Mediacorp sweetheart, Yvonne Lim, who relocated to Taiwan with her husband and two kids, has been spending time catching up with singer and her bestie of 18 years, Fish Leong, who is also based in Taipei. The celebrity mums celebrated the Mid-Autumn festivities over some homemade salted egg cookies. “Sharing our salted egg cookies recipe as promised!! Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!” Yvonne wrote.

What’s Mid-Autumn Festival without having mooncakes? We spotted lots of celebs munching on this traditional snack, but Taiwanese model Lin Chilling takes the cake for amassing the most mooncakes amongst her celebrity peers. We wonder if she ate all of the mooncakes?

Mid-Autumn Fesitval is all about reunions. Local media personality Sharon Au who recently returned to sunny Singapore from the city of love took the opportunity to catch up with her longtime friend and fellow entertainer Michelle Chong. “Dear Moon, please, grant my wish, that my BFF will soon find her Prince Charming, so that I don’t have to worry about her spending Mid-Autumn alone, or chauffeur her anymore , or finish her food whenever she over orders ( all the time), or protect her from paparazzi, or worry about her leaking ceiling at home… preferably someone strong and muscular who can carry her when her beautiful feet get blisters from wearing a new pair of shoes. Thank you Moon,” Wrote Sharon.

In spite of her busy schedule, the fast-talking Singapore based celeb made sure to spend some quality time with her family. Yi Fong jet setted to China to visit her daughter Eleanor Lee. She shared that her Mid-Autumn festivities culminated with her and her daughter making a wish under the moon. How sweet!

To some’ the Mooncake Festival might be a time to admire the full moon and eat so much sweet treats, you might need a seriously long nap after. To local actress Ya Hui, however, the Mid-Autumn Festival is a time to give back to those in need. The actress with a heart of gold celebrated the special day volunteering at the St John’s home. She encouraged her followers to do their part for the community with this caption, “Let’s continue to make a difference together, shall we?”
