This month is a big one for celebrity birthdays, with a number of stars marking milestone ages! Apple Hong turns 40 this month, and Jeffrey Xu will be celebrating his 30th birthday on Wednesday (3 October). We hope these stars and you if you’re celebrating – have a very happy birthday!
The local songstress will turn 35 this year. She entered the show business after she sang the theme song of the Peranakan-themed drama serial “The Little Nyonya,” which opened doors for Olivia who successfully landed a recording contract with HIM Music. Earlier this year, Olivia made her rounds to schools in Singapore to promote the usage of our Mother Tongue Languages as part of the 2018 Bilingualism Singapore campaign.

The China born Singapore based actor celebrates his milestone 30th birthday on Wednesday (3 October). Jeffrey and his girlfriend and actress Felicia Chin have been inseparable since going public with their romance two years ago. Unfortunately the birthday celebration with his significant other may have to wait as Jeffrey is yet to be reunited with Felicia, who is filming in Russia.

Here’s another celebrity who will be blowing out his candles on 3 October. The Korean actress will be turning 34 his year. After a five year absence, the “Coffee Prince” star is making a comeback to the small screen, starring in the drama, “Love Watch.” Set to be released later this year, “Love Watch” is based on a novel about an actress, Yoon Yoo Jung (played by Yoon Eun Hye) who enters a “love contract” with a charming dermatologist who doesn’t believe in love (played by Chun Jung Myung).

Barbie’s birthday is likely to be a family affair, as the Taiwanese star shares daughter Wang Xiyue, four, and two-year-old son Wang Xilin with her businessman husband, Wang Xiaofei. Best known for her role in the hit drama, “Meteor Garden,” Barbie was born on 6 October 1976, making her 42 this year (though she certainly doesn’t look it!)

Felicia will be turning 34 on the 24 October. The local actress’s career is going from strength to strength. She is hard at work in Irkutsk, Russia, working on her new drama series, “Beijing to Moscow.” Felicia could be spending her big day with her co-stars local actor Aloysius Pang and Taiwanese actor River Huang. The drama, which would be filmed not just in Beijing and Moscow but also Shanghai and Mongolia is expected to take two months to shoot. We can’t wait to watch!

Happy birthday to Pierre, who turns 45 on 29 October! The local actor has had a lot to celebrate recently, besides making his big screen debut in Tinseltown, playing former army sergeant turned tech entrepreneur, Michael Teo, in the blockbuster “Crazy Rich Asians,” he also starred in three local productions earlier this year.

Ariel has a lot to celebrate this year – returning to the small screen with the romantic drama “Old Boy” after a five year hiatus. She stepped out of the media limelight after tying the knot in 2015 with her long-time beau and businessman Charles Lin in who is based in the states for work. The “It started with a kiss” actress turns 36 on the 29 October.

The Malaysian born Singapore based actress who turns 40 on the 31 October, left Singapore in 2011 to pursue an acting career in China. She returned to Singapore last year after getting engaged to her long-time businessman boyfriend. The last drama she starred in was the 2016 television production, “The Queen,” where she starred alongside Jesseca Liu, Jayley Woo, Vivian Lai and Priscelia Chan.

2018 is a big year for one of Taiwan’s most successful musical export. In addition to turning 37 on the 31 October, Selina, who is part of the Taiwanese girl group S.H.E, recently reunited with her members to celebrate the group’s 17th anniversary. At a free open-air concert held on the 11 September, fans of the trio were treated to an intimate performance, where Selina, Hebe and Ella reprised their chart-topping songs like “Tropical Rainforest”, “Persian Cat” and “Super Star.” The Mandopop group was formed after a singing competition in 2001, with members branching out to develop successful careers in singing, acting and hosting.
