Flower Power – Olivia Burton's SS 2018 collection has finally arrived
The sun’s out, sunnies are out and colourful flowers are blooming everywhere – and now thanks to Olivia Burton’s timepieces, they’ll blossom on your wrist too.
Olivia Burton was founded in Britain by best friends and fashionistas Lesa Bennett and Jemma Fennings. The pair had a strong desire to create watches that fulfilled their need for style, so they left their jobs and started hatching ideas. In 2012, they debuted their first collection at Harvey Nichols, a luxe London based departmental store.
Now, they have their own website and stores, and have expanded their collection to include impeccable jewellery pieces. Together, they create an assortment of chic and covetable accessories that are inspired by the beauty of the past, and modern catwalk trends.
This month, they’ve brought out a bunch of new collections that are the literal epitome of the season and we’ve got the details on 5 of them. With golden accents, floral dials and easter rabbits, the new releases are full of enchanting additions that’ll seriously, and we mean seriously make you want to get your hands on them ASAP!
As the name suggests, the delicate dials are dressed with cuffs that can be easily removed and attached to other Olivia Burton watches with the same case size and depth. The sleek cuffs feature detailed florals and a sweet little miniature bee. With these cuffs, elevating your outfits will be as easy as 123.
The watch operates on Japanese Quartz Movement, and features a genuine leather strap.
Case Cuffs collection, from S$239, available at Olivia Burton stores and online.
The highly adored range gets an upgrade with two new styles. It pays tribute to both flora and fauna, with playfully quaint floral dials that almost transport you to the countryside. To match, the watches come with old school coloured-straps like burnt sienna.
But come March, these dials will add a spring to your step with pastel leather straps in blossom and chalk blue – two trendy yet subtle tones.
Enchanted Garden collection, from S$179, available at Olivia Burton stores and online.
This range screams absolute spring. With spring-perfect palettes and prints – think butterflies, blossoms and even hummingbirds. Sporting striking white dials and metallic sunray cases, these timepieces can either be matched with.
To elevate your outfit, a little matching butterfly embellishment sits on the leather strap.
Pretty Blossom collection, from S$179, available at Olivia Burton stores and online from March onwards.
Calling all animal lovers! The collection is an all-round paradise with two new additions to the family – a woodland bunny and an extremely adorable cat. Aside from that, the timepieces are also vegan friendly with genuine soft synthetic leather straps that still mirror the luxe look.
Plus, they’re arriving right before Easter, so you can celebrate the occasion in full spirit.
Illustrated Animals collection, from S$159, available at Olivia Burton stores and online from March onwards.
Besides leather and mesh, there are also suede, velvet and even vegan-friendly straps.
If you’re getting a leather strap, you can personalise it! You can add your name and even a heart shape on to the back of the leather strap, so it’s truly yours. However, this will only be available at their upcoming flagship store in Singapore. So stay tuned!
