Here’s all you need to know about Chaumet’s newest high jewellery collection, Perspectives de Chaumet

An haute jewellery collection represents approximately three years of work, including one year of crafting.

First, we choose a theme of eternity from the House of Chaumet, which has therefore been revisited throughout these 240 years, in one form or another. Architecture is a theme that we could have executed in any year, but it is particularly meaningful in the year of Chaumet’s 240th anniversary, with the radical restoration and reopening of the brand’s flagship hôtel particulier at Place Vendôme.

A brand like Chaumet derives its legitimacy from its past, its history. We are lucky enough to be able to tell stories, to show pieces of the past that continue the story into the future. Our challenge today is to imagine the story, with the right tone, in order to stretch the story to the present and the future.

The most important thing is to remain faithful to one’s history, to one’s truth… to remain authentic.

The relationship with haute jewellery varies according to each person. Perspectives is composed of six chapters illustrating six different visions of architecture. Through all these chapters, we try to put forward different executions, because we have clients who are also different.

For some customers, the central stone is the main concern. For others, they prefer the work of the House’s fine stones and the colour effects that keep in line with the tradition of our haute jewellery. Also, there are a handful who value creative work.
