If there is a night in the local entertainment scene that demands elevated jewellery, it would be the annual Star Awards.
From diamonds to rubies, and even emeralds, they make the award attendee’s best friend. Besides, nothing completes the look with the right jewellery, and at Star Awards 2021, our favourite celebrities found unique ways to shine. These are the most influential stones that graced the ceremony.
If there’s one thing we can’t keep our eyes off, it’d definitely have to be Tay Ying’s sparkly ensemble at the awards ceremony. To add more glitz and glamour to her outfit, she opted for Chopard’s earrings and round brilliant-cut ring from the Haute Joaillerie collection that dazzled under the spotlight.

Besides taking home the award for the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes category, Jessica Liu shone in Chopard’s finest pieces at the Star Awards. She paired her sparkly dress with earrings from the Haute Joaillerie collection, a ring featuring pear-shaped diamonds and a necklace which boasts an Ashoka cut — all of which are set in 18-carat white gold.

Jeanette Aw proves that stacking bold jewellery pieces is still possible when done in the right way. As part of her outfit at the Star Awards, Jeanette showed up in a leggy outfit that consisted of a Versace blazer, adorned with Cartier’s Panthère de Cartier collection.

Diamonds aren’t the only way to shine: When Fann Wong needed an extra oomph to her outfit, she turned to Cartier and a series of jewels in different hues of pink gold, coral and onyx. The high jewellery bracelet and earrings that served Fann Wong at the Star Awards matched really well with her sparkly, underwater-themed white dress — proving that red carpet outfits can still look good even if they are not in “safe” colours.

Showing up in one of the most show-stopping outfits of the night, Rebecca Lim kept it cool, classy and simple with her choice of accessories. Thanks to her all-black ensemble, trimmed with various sizes of pearls, she kept it chic and simple with an exquisite museum heritage watch from the 1920s which was flown in from the 189-year-old Longines museum located in Saint Imier, Switzerland.
The design incorporates classic elegance and timeless shapes, with a harmonious mix of diamonds and onyx set atop a platinum case, painted Arabic numerals on a silver dial and an inner railway-track minute ring completed with a calf leather strap.
With all the outsize earrings and chandelier earrings, it can be hard for a ring to take centre stage, but at this year’s Star Awards, Jasmine Sim made it possible with her larger-than-life Clash de Cartier rings that were impactful enough to stand on their own.
But that’s not all. Jasmine also came fully armed with a series of Clash de Cartier pieces including earrings and bracelets in different shades to complete her outfit.

High-carat diamond statement necklaces abounded: Paige Chua wore a Harry Winston Cluster Diamond Necklace alongside a series of other timeless pieces from Harry Winston’s Iconic Winston Cluster Collection. The star took centerstage at the awards ceremony with her brightly coloured patterned Vaughn Tan dress — which was considered a bold choice amongst the sea of solid colours that were worn at the event — and was even nominated for the Top 10 Most Popular Actress category.

With a bold outfit choice, Desmond Tan opted for a simple and classic timepiece to pair. Here, he’s seen wearing Cartier Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch.
Though the actor himself wants to “forget” about his award, there’s no denying that we would want to forget about his classic ensemble that he donned on the night itself. Besides looking dapper in a classic tuxedo, Qi Yuwu didn’t forget to accessorise his look — pairing it with Harry Winston’s Zalium cufflinks and an Ocean Biretrograde 42mm automatic 18K white gold timepiece that boasts a white light mother of pearl partially set dial.
