8 power dressing tips we learned from Vincenzo’s Jeon Yeo-been
1. Mix and match wardrobe staples
image

Knitwear has been a wardrobe staple in the past year with its soft and casual wearability. Jeon Yeo-been keeps it classic and comfy in a heather grey knitted wrap top paired with a nude ribbed skirt. A heather grey knit spells timeless elegance and will look great in your Zoom meeting. The best part? You can style it with your favourite pair of sweatpants (just out of the frame). Nobody needs to know!

2. Go monochromatic

This stunning all-pink outfit proves that while polished, a pant suit can be far from conservative. Choose a fitted silhouette in a pastel pink shade to add a feminine twist to masculine tailoring.

Follow Jeon Yeo-been’s lead and keep the rest of your look simple in a silky champagne top, brown structured croc-effect bag and dainty silver jewellery.

3. Invest in a shoulder-baring number

For an outfit that is equal parts statement-making and feminine, look no further than an off-the-shoulder dress. Revealing just a hint of décolletage, this “vaccine-ready” silhouette adds an interesting edge to an otherwise formal piece.

Take a leaf out of Jeon Yeo-been’s style book and style your LBD with your hair in a low ponytail, dainty jewellery, a clutch and pair of strappy heels for seamless day-to-night dressing.

4. Wear a blazer with delicate detailing
image

Jeon Yeo-been is almost always seen in a blazer or pant suit when on the job. In this case, the blazer is the outfit. With delicate pleated detailing on the lapel, this cream blazer seen on the actress is absolutely breathtaking. She teamed her blazer with minimalist rings and put her hair up in a ponytail.

5. Pair your blazer with feminine pieces

A black blazer is anything but corporate this season. Want to switch up this working-girl uniform? Pair your blazer with ladylike pieces like a satin cowl neck top, sparkly earrings and pearl bracelet for a contemporary touch.

We love this Jeon Yeo-been outfit for a dressier day out, like high tea or brunch.

6. Experiment with a blazer in an oversized fit
image

Yes, oversized blazers are still in for 2021, acting as the perfect accompaniment to tight-fit tops. Jeon Yeo-been skipped sleeves in favour of a slung-blazer look.

She finished the look with tiny gold hoops.

7. Incorporate two different shades of blue
image

Nothing goes with blue more than blue. The key to monochromatic outfits is to mix and match pieces in different shades of the same colour. Case in point: Jeon Yeo-been is wearing a lighter powder blue shirt under a darker cerulean blazer.

Single-coloured outfits work very well with statement jewellery and can be easily assembled with things that you already own in your closet. What’s not to like?

8. When in doubt, throw on a tuxedo-style blazer

A black tuxedo-style blazer is one of those investment pieces you can – and will -wear forever and ever.

To create a balance between work and play, take a cue from the actress and pair your blazer with gold dangling earrings, black oversized sunglasses and a swipe of red lipstick.
