Colour-drenching is an easy fashion trend you can wear for work and play

It’s super easy to pull off too. Here are models and fashion influencers who pulled off the trend effortlessly

Heads up: there’s a new trend in town and we reckon you’d love it. Colour-drenching, a term originally reserved for describing interiors that have been covered from floor to ceiling in varying shades and tones of one hue, has now made its way into fashion, is proving to be the next big thing since colour blocking, effervescent hues and neutral shades. But what exactly is colour-drenching?

The concept is simple: dress head to toe in similar tints in complementary clothes and accessories—otherwise known as tonal dressing. And though we’re all still self-isolating and the only space we can show up to and show out at is virtually on Zoom and FaceTime calls, keeping up with the latest trends and dressing up helps provide a sense of normalcy—even if you’ve nowhere to go.

As demonstrated by the likes of Louis Vuitton and Prada that sent models down the runway dressed in violet hued garments, and Gucci‘s rust-coloured number from their spring summer 2020 shows, the colour drenching trend is here to stay. From summer suits to effortless layers, take inspiration from these off-duty models and fashion influencers, whether you’re attending a Zoom meeting or just going out with your man.
