From Loewe’s latest collaboration with ‘My Neighbour Totoro’ to Gucci’s recent collection with Doraemon, it seems that high fashion labels are tapping the magic of cartoon classics this season. What we love most about these delightful collections isn’t just about our favourite cartoons emblazoned on them, but they also evoke plenty of nostalgia, too. Ahead, we’ve rounded up the latest and cutest cartoon collabs from our favourite luxury labels that you’ll soon be obsessed with.
Loewe’s highly-anticipated tie-up with Japanese animation house Studio Ghibli has dropped, celebrating the latter’s signature 1988 film, My Neighbour Totoro. Spot familiar and iconic characters like the charming Totoro and mischievous dust bunnies as well as scenic backdrops from the film hand-printed onto Loewe’s leather jackets, printed and embroidered on T-shirts, cosy sweatshirts, blouses and culottes. It’s also rendered in marquetry (applying different leather pieces to to form decorative patterns) onto bags and small leather goods.
“The message is one of dreamy serenity and hands-on creativity – of being at one with nature and with one’s own inner child – which is especially important right now and, I think, always will be,” says Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson.

Gucci’s latest capsule features Doraemon, the animated earless robotic cat of our childhoods.
Part of the Italian fashion house’s Epilogue collection and said to be released in celebration of Chinese New Year, it spans over 50 items, from sweaters to tote bags, sneakers, shorts, sunglasses, bags, a watch, suitcase, and even an iPhone case as well as a card case.
The brand’s iconic monogram print is featured heavily, too, alongside the Doraemon prints.
Prices range from US$195 (S$258) to US$5,800 (S$7,665), and the collection can be preordered on Gucci’s website.

Gucci has yet another partnership with Disney, which launched last December, and after its successful Mickey Mouse collection. This time, it places the spotlight on the lovable Donald Duck. You’ll find not just Donald, but also his three adorable nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck making an appearance on both menswear and womenswear – think colourful prints over GG motif luggage, and in patches and prints on T-shirts, shorts and outerwear pieces.
If you’re looking to add new kicks to your footwear rotation, Gucci’s range of shoes has also been given the Donald Duck treatment; from the Ace sneaker to a newly designed slide and the men’s style Gucci Tennis 1977 slip-on.
Other items in the mix include totes, backpacks, messenger bags as well as silk scarves, and hats.

With creative director Stuart Vevers’ love for Disney characters, it’s no surprise to see everyone’s favourite rodent Mickey Mouse making an appearance on Coach’s latest line-up.
Pop artist Keith Haring’s iconic and rather distinct illustrations of Mickey Mouse from the 1980s make an appearance on its range; there are glove-tanned leather bags topped with Mickey’s ears, and a shearling jacket, totes, and sweatshirts printed with Haring’s artwork. You’ll also catch Haring’s “Andy Mouse”, his artwork spotlighting personal hero and pop artist Andy Warhol drawn as Mickey Mouse.
