Previously we had shared with you the heels and bags worn by Son Ye-jin in the hit Korean drama series Crash Landing On You (CLOY). To continue professing our love for the show (we can’t believe it is over too), let us take a look at the stunning designer outfits and fashionable Son wore.
Episode five gave us a flashback of the date between Son and Kim Jung-hyun (who played Gu Seung Joon). In it, she wore a Louis Vuitton 2019 Fall/Winter checkered coat over a ruffle-trim collared white shirt, looking every bit like a rich heiress.
As Son made her triumphant return back to the South, she made her grand entrance with an Off-White 2018 Spring/Summer blazer over a black leather skirt. In fact, this white suit has been popular, with many female celebs wearing it with their own spin.
Her wardrobe in the South largely consisted of large luxury labels. Here, Son sports a silver lace dress from Louis Vuitton 2019 Fall/Winter collection underneath a simple black blazer.
Son isn’t tall by any means, but she has mastered the art of proportions to make herself look taller. For example, she matches her Chanel 2019 Fall/Winter tweed blazer with a mini skirt that’s barely visible. The showing of her legs gave the illusion of towering height.
Son went through many outfits in Crash Landing On You, shuffling through vibes from feminine and modern to strong and edgy. This scene, where she took revenge for Hyun, saw her with a Bottega Veneta 2020 Pre-Spring mixed material coat. The addition of oversized black sunglasses gave her extra killer presence.
Many of Son’s looks were also very office-appropriate, such as this sparkly Celine 2019 Fall/Winter jacket with a ruffled collar top. This looked rather unexpected as it channelled an opulent yet soft image.
At the end of episode 15, Son brightened up our screens with a yellow ensemble from Max Mara 2019 Fall/Winter range. We loved that she swapped the yellow boots for black stockings as it balanced the look to make it office-friendly.
In the finale, Son wore a suit from Chanel 2020 Pre-Spring. The addition of a black necktie added extra oomph to the overall look while the matching blue shoes was a nice nod to monochromatic dressing.
In the opening sequence, Son wore a Gucci fall/winter 2019 checkered coat while she went about the streets of Seoul. The combination of shorts with thigh-high boots gave her an edgy yet feminine appeal.
On the date with a male star that was later captured by the paparazzi, she wore a Max Mara fall/winter 2019 yellow cardigan. The slouchy silhouette softened the usual boss-like edge she had and afforded a touch of romanticism.
Playing the founder and owner of a fashion empire, it is no wonder that Son wore the most stylish clothes. Here, she wore a unique blazer from YCH fall/winter 2019.
In the first episode, Son had already changed multiple outfits. In this scene where she returns home to see her father, she slayed with a Balmain bodycon dress that showed off her sex appeal and confidence.
To really drive home the point that Son played an affluent character, the outfits she wore at home were picked judiciously too. The second episode saw her decked out in a Tory Burch silk dress as pyjamas.
In episode two, Son wore an opulent aubergine Isabel Marant dress that showed off her sophistication when she sealed a business deal.
At the end of episode two, Son had her first encounter with Hyun Bin, who played Ri Jeong-hyeok, in Switzerland. As she was contemplating death, she wasn’t dressed as polished as she usually is. But don’t you think this Celine Fall/Winter 2019 outfit looked rather relatable?
In a flashback to their Switzerland encounter, Son pulled out yet another Celine ensemble. She matched her plaid skirt with jeans to give off a relaxed, casual feel – something we’d definitely wear when travelling (also check out How these K-pop idols ace airport fashion).
At the end of episode five, Son took to Bottega Veneta Fall/Winter 2019 for a killer outfit for a breakup scene. The chunky gold choker exemplified her tough demeanour.
Before Crash Landing On You aired, there were several “leaked” images that gave us a glimpse at the outfits Son would wear. Here, Son wears a floral Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2019 dress that emphasises her sophistication as a rich heiress.
Another stunning floral outfit we loved was from Miu Miu Fall/Winter 2019. The translucent white silk against the crushed flower pattern accentuated her elegance and grace.
Son wore a number of floral outfits and another we loved was this flowy number from Chloe Pre-Fall 2019 series.
In another teaser photo, Son sported a Burberry Fall/Winter 2019 beige outfit that exemplifies her #girlboss image.
