Adding some colour to your wardrobe might just be the easiest way to breathe life into your outfits. Yet, some times, we all seem to lose our inspiration to wear bright and bold pieces. And this is why Chanel’s Spring-Summer 2021 Pre-Collection couldn’t have come at a better time.
This season, Virginie Viard, French fashion designer, and the creative director of Chanel, has chosen Amanda Sanchez to embody the pre-collection that we’ve all been waiting for. For the uninitiated, Amanda Sanchez is the maison’s long-running in-house fit model — a position she’s held since 2001.
Here, in a series of shots taken by the photographer Tim Elkaïm, the fit model combining the vibrant energy of her native Brazil with the allure of the House. Amanda explains, “This collection reminds me of my roots, where I come from. It is so colourful and fresh. These silhouettes are very sophisticated but also very cheerful, and I identified with them immediately.”
Drawing inspiration from the vibrant atmosphere of Brazil, this pre-collection boasts intricately detailed pieces in shades of yellow, green, pink and blue — the best colours to put yourself on the colourful closet plan. Some of the key pieces to look out for include a pair of flared jeans with a tie-dye effect, a multi-coloured jacket in precious tweed and graphic motifs embellished on a hooded sweater in pink and blue cashmere, just a few to name.
Ahead, we’ve gathered some of the key outfits from the Spring-Summer 2021 Pre-Collection by Chanel.
