Star Awards 2023: What the stars wore to TV’s biggest night

A veteran on the Star Awards red carpet, ah jie Zoe Tay definitely knows how to make an entrance every year. This year she stun as with this Oscar de la Renta gown. We love how the floral lace top adds a nice contrast to the ruffled and voluminous skirt.

You can always count on Rebecca Lim to look elegant at the Star Awards. The actress and newly-wed wore a black gown from Valentino that was equal parts dramatic and minimalist.

If we had to pick one word for Chantalle Ng’s entire look, it would be slay. The actress was committed to her Y2K ensemble, wearing a custom-made outfit by Denise Cheong that took 150 hours to make, shoes from Roger Vivier and even tiny, silver beads in her hair!

We love it whenever a celeb takes a fashion risk, and that’s exactly what Hazelle Teo did with this Olimpia Sanchis gown. The dramatic white pleated ruffle gave this one-shoulder gown just the right amount of oomph.

Carrie Wong edges it up in a black and white gown from David Koma London and jewellery from Tiffany & Co. She took a fashion risk by pairing her sleek dress with a pair of knee-high floral boots, but in this case we say it paid off!

Is that Wednesday Adams we spy? Jeanette Aw is giving us goth queen vibes in her sheer black gown with shirting detail.

Big voluminous skirts were definitely a theme for the night. Go big or go home right? Kiki Lim let the pink skirt of her Pinko ensemble take all the attention and kept the rest of her outfit simple with a black corset and thigh-high boots.

Trust Felicia Chin to go against the grain with her plaid Ralph Lauren suit! The star later changed out to a secondary Ralph Lauren look — a black and navy bustier paired with high waisted pants with a dramatic bow.

Joanne Peh was a glam goddess in her gold Ralph Lauren gown which features… pockets!

Jesseca Liu stole the show in her Isabel Sanchis gown.

He Ying Ying sizzles on the red carpet with her sexy two-piece ensemble from New York designer Laquan Smith. The beauty look was on point as well with her sleek hair do and burgundy smokey eyes giving us ‘2000s R’n’B songstress.

Fang Rong kept it simple this year with a scarlet Alexandre Vauthier dress with padded shoulders and a plunging neckline.

Bonnie Loo also chose to keep it simple with a cut-out Monot gown.

Tasha Low’s cut-out boots deserve a special mention due to how cool they look!
