We love a good designer collaboration – the limited run and exclusivity make it so covetable that sometimes, it gets sold at double its original retail price on resale websites. While some collabs, like H&M x Moschino two years ago, are targeted at the younger market, there are a handful specifically made for the working woman (eg Charles & Keith x Cecilie Bahnsen).
Cue Tod’s T Factory’s partnership with Japanese designer Mame Kurogouchi. This collab marks the brand’s third partnership with designers (after Alessandro Dell’Acqua and Alber Elbaz). The 26-piece collection, which includes ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories, combines Italian craftsmanship and Japanese aesthetics.
Kurogouchi is a Tokyo-based designer who started her eponymous label in 2010. Her brand, which specialises in bold and timeless womenswear, has been showcased at Paris’ Centre Pompidou Metz and Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo.

Black is classic and versatile, but it can be boring at times. The perfect substitute: navy. Go monochromatic and wear it head to toe, like the model pictured here.
Yes, we’re aware that sandals might be inappropriate for certain work environments, but a polished pair might just allow you to get away with it. This alabaster pair with a croco-embossed upper and intricate stitching details is refined enough for your 9-to-5.
Need to inject some fun into your work look? An easy way is to don a pair of bright shoes. It keeps your overall look fresh without being OTT.
Fret not if colour isn’t your thing, there are other ways to spice up your office attire – think patterns and details, like this tote bag that sports lattice designs. It’s in black, so it’s definitely work appropriate.
Invest in one that can last you for more than five years, like this Tod’s number. No need for any style tips, simply because it goes with… you guessed it, everything.
