Congrats to Singapore Idol alumni Jonathan Leong who tied the knot on 26 December 2015. We loved his carpeted aisle which featured lyrics from the song “For You” that he wrote for his wife a few years ago, when they were still dating. The red and royal blue carpet stood out beautifully in the all-white church setting, and it was the perfect romantic ode to their love.

Indonesian celebrities Chelsea Olivia and Glenn Alinskie wed in a lavish ceremony that was filled with pomp, pageantry, flowers and all things whimsical. One of the things we loved: a giant fairytale book which depicted their love story.

When you’re a popular Bollywood star, regular invitation cards just won’t cut it for you. Guests who were invited to Indian actor Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput’s wedding (on 7 July 2015), were in for a treat when they received their invitations. The box, emblazoned with a cream and turquoise peacock on the cover, opened to reveal a sophisticated and elegant card with jars of tea (by tea sommelier Anamika Singh) and honey (all of them were encased in delicate parchment boxes) made in India. The groom-to-be himself oversaw the design and preparations, which were done by celebrated Delhi-based designer Ravish Kapoor.

When Chinese celebrity couple Angelababy and Huang Xiao Ming gave the world a glimpse of their invitations and favours, three things caught our attention: the too cute caricatures of the couple, their monogram (AH), and the fact that the cookie favours were baked by disabled people trained at a non-profit centre in Nanjing, China.
