“We met at a school concert. On our first date, Lorenzo went with me to buy pointe shoes. We got together a year later on New Year’s Day, and it’s been 13 years since,” shares Michaela.
“Our wedding was heartwarming, fun and relaxed. We wanted guests to have fun and to walk away feeling the love that we share for each other and for guests to know more about us,” she adds.
The couple engaged the help of The Wedding Entourage to plan their special day that was filled from day to night – with gate crashing and church solemnisation in the morning, followed by their tea ceremony and lunch at the Capella, which was also the venue for their banquet dinner and after-party!

“Lorenzo proposed at my bedside on the morning of my birthday staycation at the Fullerton Bay Hotel. For our wedding date, we chose the day we met!”
“I chose a romantic vintage theme that was fun and heart-warming as we wanted our guests to walk away feeling the love we have for each other.
The birdcages were a major inspiration while we were conceptualising the look and decor with The Wedding Entourage.”
The decor for their church reception table consisted of photos of the couple in elegant frames and other quaint props.
The cutest scene that unfolded before their church solemnisation ceremony.
Smiles all around as Michaela’s dad hands his daughter’s hands over to Lorenzo’s care.
With their bridal party – the brothers wore grey while the bridesmaids went with deep purple.
Michaela’s cascading bouquet was lush and ultra-elegant against her dress.
Their dinner banquet at Capella had a rich air of romance with flowers and decor by Boenga.
A 4-D photobooth corner for their guests!
Pom-poms, candle stands and other vintage pieces created a lovely corner for photo ops.
“Our day was packed to the max. In the morning, there was the gatecrashing and church solemnisation.
Then we did the tea ceremony and had lunch with our families at Capella. Dinner with both our families and friends was also at Capella. We finished with an after-party.”
“Our friends surprised us with a hilarious dance performance. They wore tutus made out of toilet rolls since I am a ballerina.”
Michaela’s dad’s impromptu dance to Michael Jackson’s Beat It was definitely another highlight of the wedding for all those present.
