Your guide to the best deals and Christmas festivities at these shopping malls

Bedok Mall knows we are time-strapped to get last minute gifts so they have extended their shopping hours till 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays (Dec 14, 15, 21, 22). Also on these dates, spend $50 at any shop from 9pm to enter a lucky draw at the B2 atrium.

For those who want to do good as well this festive period, you can adopt a plant for charity at $10 to the Bedok Mall Christmas Charity Fund. CapitaLand Hope Foundation will match the proceeds dollar-for-dollar and it will all go towards Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of SIngapore (MINDS) and Very Special Arts (VSA) Singapore. For those who would like to experience a Christmas market and carnival, Bugis Junction is hosting one from now till Dec 30. Besides game booths and Insta-worthy festive decor, there are 20 booths dedicated to the sale of 20 food and beverage, fashion and collectibles. There is one that specialises in the sale of Mickey Mouse paraphernalia to celebrate the character’s 90th birthday.

You can also customise your fashion purchases too, as both malls have collaborated with local fashion label Playhood. Limited to the first 100 customisation a day, spend at least $120 (or $100 on Amex CapitaCard) to enjoy a complimentary customisation service (choose between embroidery, iron-on patches or charms). Besides the Christmas carolling happening from now till Dec 25 between 7-9pm at level 1 of The Capitol Kempinski, there is also a beer slide challenge and Christmas music and light projection show at CHIJMES.

Till Dec 26,  a spending of at least $150 would get a porcelain set (cup, bowl and pot) worth $35.80. Different colours are available and it’s limited to the first 30 shoppers of each day.

IMM mall, which actually starts for International Merchandising Mart Mall (bet you didn’t know that), claims to be the biggest outlet mall in Singapore. With Christmas deals and year-end sales happening, this means that already discounted products at this mall gets even more affordable. For instance, Under Armour is offering an additional 20% off, while Melissa is giving away $20 voucher with a minimum spend of $200 at their MDREAMS pop-up. In addition, from now till Dec 23, a spend of at least $80 (or $60 with Amex CapitaCard), gets you complimentary pair of tickets for a guided tour of the butterfly aviary that features five species of butterflies, including the Singapore’s national common rose butterfly.
