What: When it comes to our sizing guide for bags, there’s Micro, Nano and then there’s…Pico. Just when you thought your designer bag/novelty purse can’t get any smaller, along comes Fendi’s Pico Baguette which the brand claims is the smallest of its kind in the world.
First debuted on the Spring/Summer 2020 runway, this minuscule – what else do we call a bag measuring a teeny 4cm x 4cm? – is even smaller than Jacquemus’ mind-boggling Mini Le Chiquita Bag purse.
Its design is fashioned after Fendi’s symbolic Baguette and features the recognisable double-F buckle and in finishes of beaded glass and leather and versions with fringes, as well as six colourways that include pink, yellow and duo-tone combinations.
Why know it: This one’s easy. Cop one and you will have bragging rights to owning one of the smallest bags on the planet.
While we’re not going to lie that you will at most be able to squeeze only your ear pods in here, the bag is still a practical piece of design which can double as a statement jewellery piece. You can rock the Pico Baguette as a bag charm, twirl it on your wrist as a bracelet or wear it as a necklace the way it was done during the S/S ’20 show.
Where to buy it: The Pico Baguette is going for $990 for a regular crossbody to $1,050 for a fringed version and can be bought through the brand’s hotline during this circuit-breaker. Simply call 6887-5981 to speak to one of Fendi’s Client Advisors for queries.
