These new bag styles come in incredibly fun and cute shapes – and we want one right now

The verdict is in: Spring 2018 is about to look a whole lot quirkier. As collections unfolded, the bags that hit the SS18 runways are statement making in their own right, all sprinkled with a dash of eccentricity and quirkiness.

We’ve got Loewe’s bunny-shaped bags following in the footsteps of its elephant predecessor, Gabriela Hearst’s accordion shaped bag that’s cooking up a storm in the contemporary front, and Moynat’s playful new geometric receptacles.

Followed by the success of its previous Panda and Elephant-shaped collections, Loewe introduces the Bunny as a new addition to its arsenal of animal-centric bags. The Bunny is crafted with calf leather or shearling and folded details, completed with a fluffy shearling tail and dot-perforated eyes. Seen in pastel panels and gingham prints, the Bunny can be seen in six different designs and colourways and textiles including white, black and shearling.

For Spring 2018, Moynat is introducing new families of colours in the Houses’s iconic Mini Vanity — the cube-shaped evening bag we’ve all come to love after years of reiterations. New geometric shapes are also seen in this collection, featuring the Pyramid and Sphere clutches which stand out with equal fervour with their bright colours and fun elementary shapes. The Mini Vanity can now be found in yellow and red, while the Pyramid and Sphere are seen in shades of emerald and red respectively.
