Not only is the packaging gorgeous, Crabtree & Evelyn’s shortbread cookies are truly of the “melt-in-the-mouth” quality ─ perhaps because they were lovingly made in a small family-run bakery in Edinburgh.

Take all the time you want to savour your favourite wines with this revolutionary dispenser. A thin, hollow needle pierces through the cork to draw out the wine; argon, an inert and odourless gas, is also pumped in to prevent oxidation. The thin needle lets the cork reseal easily, so your bottle of wine remains as good as new.
$530, from Enoteca Wine, The Oaks, and Vintage Wine Club.
Sip on gin and support local businesses at the same time. Paper Lantern Distilling, based in Singapore, created Singapore’s first boutique gin using Asian ingredients like ginger, galangal and lemongrass. Don’t be intimidated by the peppercorns too! This gin opens with a lovely floral bouquet, and a teasing hint of spice at the back. The finish is very smooth with a lightly sweet, rounded fullness from the presence of Thai honey ─ we actually think it’s perfect taken neat or on the rocks, no tonic needed!
