Designed by Alex Kwan of Museum ID, the homeowner of this apartment in Novena wanted “a very honest design” with materials and designs to blend in naturally with the original built form of the home.

While most designers strive to keep within budget or at least exceed it by only 10 per cent, this project’s final numbers were about half of the initial budget — approximately $40,000 — as there wasn’t much to change since the original space already looked good.
