Best dressed celebs: Suzy Bae, Oon Shu An & Jayley Woo
Spotted: South Korean singer and actress Suzy Bae dressed head to toe in Dior, at the launch of the brand’s ABCDior pop up at Marina Bay Sands. We’re glad the iconic Lady Dior bag made an appearance in the midst of all the popularity of the latest Dior silhouette’s such as the likes of the 30 Montaigne bag, but we’re feeling nostalgic for this piece in a dusty green shade.
Is it just us or does the gargantuan tote bag that Shu An is carrying look somewhat familiar? If it is, that’s because it’s Ikea’s signature kvantingshopping bag, but a rainbow version, instead of the striking blue colour that we’re so used to seeing. This one’s a limited edition released by Ikea US, in conjunction with June being Pride Month. The actress was looking stunning in a pair of burnt orange wide-legged trousers, a white blouse, and Walk’n’Dior sneaker in burgundy Oblique Embroidered Canvas.
This SNSD alumnus never fails to deliver stunning #OOTDs on the ‘gram. This time, she’s vacationing at the Ritz Carlton in San Francisco while looking sweet yet fierce at the same time in this structured gingham blazer that features puffed shoulders. Seems like she’s one celeb who’s keeping up with her fashion trends because raised shoulders are popping up on all kinds of S/S’19 pieces.
Don’t you know that guacamole is the new hottest Pantone 2019 colour this upcoming Fall/Winter season? It doesn’t mean that you can’t wear Living Coral anymore, it just means that this new shade of green will be hitting fashion brands hard, and you won’t want to be sleeping on this trend because even Krystal is hopping on it. She went with a matching two-piece oversized jacket and mini skirt set, a top of a slogan tee.
This home-grown actress has got to be one of the most sartorially advanced celebs – which probably explains why she has been appearing week after week in our best-dressed curations. This week, our favourite coordinate from her was this cream white boiler suit that she paired with classic gold-studded white sneakers. Just like Shu An, she’s also rocking a Dior Oblique Canvas piece that she had customised with her name. You too can cop this personalised book tote from now till 14 July 2019 at the ABCDior pop up at The Shoppes@Marina Bay Sands.
Mixing prints is clearly easy breezy for our May cover girl, He Ying Ying. She effortlessly pulled off a grey checkered blazer with a blue paisley-printed shoulder bag from Italian fashion house Etro. The next time you’re thinking of doing the same, it helps to match complementary colours together, much like how the cuffs of her blazer sleeves were the same shade of blue as the bag she was touting.
Zoe Tay is taking the conventional resort wear and completely spinning it on its head. She’s showing all of her followers that resort-appropriate wear need not just be white flowy, see-through maxi dresses or yet another bandeau top and palazzo pants coordinate. It can also be a form-hugging black and yellow polka-dotted jumpsuit, or just about anything you feel like rocking.
We cannot emphasise this enough, but beige is the new black this S/S’19. Jayley was certainly taking notes, judging from the fact that she was rocking this nude jumpsuit from local fashion label Store Unda. She completed her outfit with good ol’ trusty high-top Chucks and a Givenchy handbag. Rock a jumpsuit like her on hectic days.
We all know that a beret is a simple, hassle-free accessory that works as the perfect cherry on top to every ensemble. And Jade wasn’t afraid to take that style tip and roll with it. We love how she took it to a whole new level by opting for a leopard print beret instead of just one in a solid colour. Her choice of beret added to how fierce her leather on leather outfit already was.
