Bring on the sparkles. Sequins and reflective metallics stole the stage as gloomy subdued knits of the season took a step back. Things to wear on a rainy day, as demonstrated by Sheila Sim: Rich moss green rain boots, a bright sundress, longline trenches, and trudge along delightful printed umbrella as an accessory. This outfit is as relevant as ever right now given the monsoon season, and we’re itching to bust out our rain boots too.

The 21st century rocker chic is no longer defined by the number of studded spikes found stapled on her outfit. In fact, this black-and-silver leopard print sequined metallic dress may very well be its prime emblem. Exuding total ‘cool girl’ vibes, this shift dress worn by Soo Joo Park finds the perfect balance between elegant and edgy. We think that pairing translucent black stockings with a metallic shift dress like this adds a sense of classy demeanor to the flamboyant choice of tactile – without it, the look might seem a little incomplete.

Nailing the season’s chicest looks in a chunky knit sweater dress with cold-shoulder detailing, Chinese model Xiaowen Ju demonstrates how to keep the dreary winter blues away in traditional knits; pair the muted outfit with a pair of brightly coloured pumps. Seen here in bright fuchsia ankle cuff flats, the model keeps things fresh with a bold bob and statement shades.
Celebrating the launch of Loewe’s Spring Summer 2018 collection in Seoul, South Korean actress and model Ho Jung Lee showed off her crafty side in a rich ruby leather midi skirt and a boxy shoulder bag with matching red polka dots. Tucking a double-breasted tuxedo-style blouse into the wrap skirt which, albeit falling low on the waistline, remains flattering and chic, the gorgeous Korean ‘It’ girl topped off the look with classic black ballerina flats.

Actress Zhong Chuxi paints a picture of elegance in a flirty and feminine plisse skirt by Valentino. Featuring varsity-type stripes in deep aubergine and see-through panels, the skirt seamlessly went well with the velvet-lace top she paired it with. Completing the ensemble with one of Fall/Winter 2017’s hottest trends — socks with strappy heels, Chuxi put a high-fashion edge to the kitschy sporty court look.

A patchwork cape blouse sees a softer, feminine twist here as Korean comedian and fashionista Na Young Kim pairs it here with a diaphanous pale pink floral skirt. This ensemble is a literal tapestry of sorts, featuring a harmonious blend of old school ginghams, unexpected floral embroidery and patchwork polka dots.
