What:Spa Esprit Beam Me Up Near Infrared Lifting Facial, which uses Near Infrared (NIR) technology to renew and refine skin.
The lowdown:The usual cleansing and skin-prepping steps aside, the star of this treatment is the high-powered Near Infrared (NIR) lamp, which emits light energy waves that heat skin’s deep tissue causing collagen fibres to contract and tighten so that skin is firmed and lifted, the appearance of pores is reduced, and skin texture sees a visible improvement.
What:Juvena MasterCaviar Facial, an indulgent facial that combines relaxing facials using crystal balls, and effective topical skincare formulations from Juvena, an anti-aging cosmetics brand from Switzerland.
The lowdown:After the usual cleansing and exfoliation, crystal ball massages are incorporated into this facial. They are made of quartz, which supposedly have soothing and calming benefits for skin. There’s a palm-sized smooth crystal piece and another in a pen-like form with a small rounded crystal tip to cater to different contours of the face for the most comfortable fit. Your skin is slathered with the brand’s luxurious serums and creams – boasting ingredients such as silk, minerals and trace elements – and a pure gold leaf is also massaged on to infuse into the skin. Gold is said to have anti-inflammatory and skin lifting benefits. And lastly the star product, the MasterCaviar Day Cream is applied to prolong the skin-loving benefits of the treatment.
What:Thermage CPT with Total Tip, a non-invasive face lifting treatment using radiofrequency energy.
The lowdown: A Thermage treatment uses focused radiofrequency energy to stimulate the body’s own natural renewal process for a younger, more lifted appearance. This is one of the newest versions of the Thermage machine which uses gentle vibrations interspersed with a cooling sensation to lessen the discomfort from the radiofrequency heat. It is a non-invasive face lift that can be done on the face and neck and tightening results can be seen and felt instantly with progressive improvements over one to two months.
What: IDS Advanced Acne Treatment Plus, a facial that helps you battle acne and zit breakouts.
The lowdown:The treatment starts off with ultrasonic cleansing, which clears away comedones like black and white heads and unclogs pores. A manual extraction follows if necessary. The next step is an acne treatment that uses concentrated light to kill acne-causing bacteria. And as the final step, a cooling anti-acne mask is applied to soothe skin and reduce redness and inflammation so you leave with clearer, calmer skin.
