Who is the girl who stole the heart of Goblin star Lee Dong Wook?
It was recently reported that Bae Suzy is dating the Korean actor after dating rumours were confirmed by Lee’s agency King Kong by Starship Entertainment and Suzy’s agency JYP Entertainment.
The 23-year-old is a K-pop singer, actress, model and rapper with a following of over eight million on Instagram. She made her debut as one quarter of the now-defunct Korean girl group “Miss A” and went on to pursue a solo singing career on top of her acting and modelling career. On top of that she’s also the new face of Lancome – a good match (if you ask us), given Suzy’s enviably clear complexion and penchant for the barely-there makeup look.
So what’s in her makeup pouch? Take a look to get her look – and since it’s usually a no makeup look, we’re all for it.
When it comes to eye makeup, Suzy usually gravitates to the barely-there look with a little eyeshadow smudged into the lash line. When she appeared as a celebrity guest on the cable channel OnStyle’s beauty programme “Get It Beauty”, she revealed some of the cosmetics she uses on the daily to shine both on and offstage.
One of which was the Gosh Smokey Eyeshadow Palette in Plum. The name gives this palette away – It’s full of nude and purplish tones for a subtle smokey eye.
In the same “Get It Beauty” Talking Mirror segment, Suzy gushed about her love for cream based makeup. She then pulled out a moisturising stick bronzer used to contour the outlines of her face to add more definition.
Bronzer sticks tend to be very shimmery, so make sure to apply with a light hand to avoid appearing unnatural or cakey. To achieve that sun-kissed look, choose a shade that is slightly darker than your skin tone and apply the stick directly on your cheeks, forehead, bridge of your nose and along your jawline.
Since most bronzer sticks are more pigmented compared to powder and liquid formulas, be careful not to overdo it. Next, grab a wide fluffy brush and blend it into your skin.
We are definitely willing to try any product if it would give us skin as flawless as Suzy’s, but one base product that has been approved by the K-pop idol is the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation. This intensely pigmented and non-drying foundation comes in 40 shades that are all demarcated with an alphabet for easier navigation.
Go with a “C” of your skin has cooler undertones. “W” represents warm and “N” for neutral. If you want your base makeup to go on smoothly, Suzy recommends dipping your makeup brush into a pot of Vaseline before applying your foundation.
We’ve wondered how Suzy gets her dreamy skin, thankfully in the “Get It Beauty” Talking Mirror segment, the “Uncontrollably Fond” actress revealed one product she uses to keep her skin looking youthful and radiant. To achieve that well-hydrated lit-from-within ethereal glow, Suzy mixes an essence pearl capsule with her foundation.
For this purpose, Suzy uses The Face Shop White Ginseng Collagen Pearl Capsule Cream that is formulated with pearls harvested from natural cultivation sites.
When Suzy opts for a more glam look, she plays up her lips. To add her pop of colour to her makeup look, she typically goes for either the juicy strawberry red hue or a cool-toned fuschia.
The lady of many talents has been using the Lancôme L’absolu Gloss in 378 Rose Lancôme. In her “Get It Beauty” appearance, Suzy shared that she applies powder on her lips, on top of her lipstick to get a matte finish.
Blush is a must-have for Suzy. One blush that has a permanent spot on her vanity is the 3CE Face Blush. These pressed powder blushes are available in nine soft shades that come in hues of pinks and coral.
Formulated with a revolutionary translucent fit system technology, each shade has a soft and velvety texture that adheres to the skin with a fine, natural finish.
The former Miss A member frequently sports a vibrant lippy when she’s on stage and on the red carpet – with a little help from the Lancôme Juicy Shaker in Berry in Love.
Not quite matte, not quite sheer, this lip shaker is a happy medium. Packed with nourishing oils, the pigment in these lippies are subtle but the more you shake, the more they pack a punch, making them extremely versatile and wearable for both day and night. You can also use them as a lip topper for that glossy finish without the sticky sensation.
