Designer: Oscar de la Renta
As demonstrated by this Oscar de la Renta runway look, a neatly coiffed ponytail can be a simple yet glamorous hairstyle.
Create at home: For that smooth but not greasy finish, you want to run some hair mousse through your hair instead of gel.
This hairstyle at Proenza Schouler focused on the wet “out of the shower” swept-back look with volume at the roots and a raw, wild texture through the lengths.
Create at home: Hairstylist Holli Smith creates this look by spraying thickening spray from the roots to ends before brushing up first then down around the ear with a hair brush to give direction and create a foundation of product within the hair.
Next, Holli spritzes more thickening spray to maintain the wet look and adds some hair serum into the hair for more hold.
Create at home: If you don’t want your curls to look to perfect or overly styled, divide your hair into large sections and create curls by wrapping your hair around the curling iron in different directions.
This helps to create loose waves and a greater degree of separation between each hair segment.
The trick to the hairstyle at Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, is to use mousse at the base of the fringe to help them lay flat.
Create at home: Another tip is to run your bangs through a flat iron to control any rouge flyaways. Also, always style the fringe first before moving on to the rest of your hair. When you allow your fringe to air-dry, it might cause frizz and cowlicks to form.
The hair at Brock collection combined texture with class, by adding messiness to a twisted wavy hairstyle.
Inspired by a young Liv Tyler, this look is a romantic and effortless hairdo so don’t worry if some hairs come free. To get the romantic look, do not twist the hair too tight and keep it loose.
Create at home: Part your hair in the middle and blow drying upwards and away from the face to create a loose bend in the hair. Next, create two twists on each side of the head and secure them with bobby pins. Gently curl the hair in the back into loose waves to complete the look.
